Gwen is a native Texan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and specializations in Reading and English Language Arts. She spent over 10 years teaching different ages and subjects in various private and public school classrooms around the greater Houston area. She has taught English, Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Computer skills, and much more. She has also worked to customize lessons for students with special-needs!

Since 2015, Gwen has worked as a private ESL tutor, teaching private lessons to both K-12 students and adults. She has taught students from Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, China, Germany, France, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, and many more! Gwen is passionate about helping her students reach their goals. She loves helping people feel more comfortable and confident with their English and watching them succeed. She also loves sharing her culture and learning what her students can teach her about their own! When teaching children, Gwen talks often with parents/guardians, keeping them up to date on their child’s progress and making sure they are meeting their goals.

In her free time, Gwen enjoys reading, playing Sudoku, and spending time with her family.
